AUDIO CLIPS
With the exception of the Schumann and the Rachmaninoff, all of the audio clips below are taken from live performances. Please forgive the coughing and sneezing! At least there were no candy wrappers opened. :-) A special thanks to pianists Dr. Melanie Taylor (Schumann, Rachmaninoff); Dr. Douglas Weeks (Messiaen) and Dr. Stephen Buck (Faure).
I had the great pleasure of working with composer Dario Marianelli on this work, which features cello and piano. This clip is an excerpt from the orchestral suite which gets its main theme from the movie, "Atonement", for which he won both an Oscar and a Golden Globe award.
I am passionate about chamber music; it is my preferred performance medium. One of the most rewarding experiences of my life has been to play with the Ritz Chamber Players. They are an amazing ensemble of world-class musicians, and they will probably be performing in your neck of the woods! Check out their website: www.ritzchamberplayers.org. The three YouTube videos to the right are movements from the Mozart Flute Quartet in D Major (the first movement is actually "Allegro"), and the Brahms Piano Quartet in G Minor (4th mvt). The performers are Judy Dines, flute; Kelly Hall-Tompkins, violin; Amadi Azikiwei, viola, and Terrence Wilson, piano.
