A native of Columbia, SC, cellist Kenneth Law resides in Fairfax, Virginia, where he maintains a large private cello studio. In addition to an active freelancing and recital career, he is also a member of the Main Street Chamber Players, and Polaris Piano Trio. He has performed at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center Series, and Alice Tully Hall. Internationally, Mr. Law has performed in England, Scotland, France, Panama, Puerto Rico, Czech Republic, and the Bahamas. A recipient of the 2010 SC ASTA Studio Teacher of the Year Award and 2017 VA ASTA String Teacher of the Year Award , Mr. Law’s pre-college students have been accepted to the Eastman School of Music, Oberlin and Peabody Conservatories, Cleveland Institute of Music, Indiana University, Florida State University, Cincinnati College-Conservatory, and other respected music programs around the country. His degrees and diplomas are from the Eastman School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Peabody Conservatory, and The Juilliard School.
